Origins
De Bethune is an independent Swiss watchmaker based in L’Auberson, nestled in the Jura mountain pastures of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. The brand is home to a dedicated team of watchmakers, engineers, designers, micromechanical experts, polishers, and decorators, all committed to continuous research and the development of innovative technical and aesthetic solutions, drawing inspiration from the great 18th-century master watchmakers.
Craftsmanship
Tourbillons, perpetual calendars, chronometers, deadbeat seconds, spherical moons, bridges, wheels, pallet-levers, balance wheels, pinions, balance springs, screws, as well as cases, dials, floating lugs, and hands are all meticulously designed and crafted, with special attention to detail, including the signature “Côtes De Bethune” and Microlight engravings.
Manufacture
De Bethune designs, develops, and manufactures all of its timepieces in-house at its own Manufacture. Since its inception, the brand has created 32 unique calibers, introduced approximately 30 world premieres, filed numerous patents, and produced 260 one-of-a-kind pieces.
Prestige and Vision
De Bethune has earned the highest honors in the watchmaking industry worldwide, including the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève for the best watch of the year. Today, Denis Flageollet, co-founder and master watchmaker, together with CEO Pierre Jacques, are guiding the future of the company. The distinctive style, clean lines, and refined cases are the hallmark of De Bethune creations.
