Origins
Romain Gauthier was born in 1975 and raised in the picturesque Vallée de Joux, the heart of the finest Swiss watchmaking. Romain marries the savoir-faire he developed living, studying, and working in Switzerland, with a faithful approach to haut horlogerie to create remarkable timepieces.
Manufacture
The creation of Manufacture Romain Gauthier in 2014 was paramount to Romain and his autonomy. This factory allows Romain to maintain his freedom and creativity through the production of its calibres in-house. Quality is secured thanks to proprietary materials, tools, machinery, and most importantly, the savoir-faire of his unique team.
Craftmanship
To Romain, human capacity is key to excellence; the resources of the 21st century are simply tools that are part of evolution. Romain’s philosophy is to highlight human qualities by allowing time to learn and improve in order to then achieve a unique and inimitable savoir-faire to every individual piece.
