Origins
Qeelin, founded in 2004, draws inspiration from the historical city of Dunhuang, once a vital crossroads on the ancient Silk Road. Creative director Dennis Chan, influenced by the city's rich past and intricate jewels in its caves, seeks to pass on cultural traditions through contemporary jewelry. Qeelin blends five-thousand-year-old Chinese civilization with 21st-century aesthetics, offering creations that symbolize positivity and joy. Chan, recognized for his interdisciplinary talents, envisions bringing the best of the East to the world, infusing Chinese heritage with modern style since the brand's inception.
Philosophy and Spirit
Qeelin's approach to jewelry centers around the cultural ideals of balance and harmony, drawing inspiration from ancient oriental philosophy such as Yin and Yang. This concept permeates all of Qeelin's collections, bridging traditional and contemporary elements with emotional sensitivity. The iconic Wulu collection, symbolizing fortune, perfectly blends minimalist lines, tradition, and modernity, becoming a timeless symbol for Qeelin. Fine Artisanship
Qeelin distinguishes itself in the world of jewelry by employing innovative technologies and intricate designs, going beyond traditional inlay techniques. The Bo Bo collection showcases playful and interactive features, with moveable head and limbs that transform with a fantasy wardrobe of diamond "outfits." The Qin Qin collection, inspired by goldfish, symbolizes abundance, harmony, and love. Vision
Qeelin is dedicated to environmental responsibility and corporate social responsibility alongside cultural preservation. Animals, integral to Qeelin's collections, serve as both creative inspiration and a means to express concern for the planet. Since 2018, Qeelin has partnered with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to enhance the natural habitat of Qinling pandas, aiming to restore and preserve their bamboo forest home. The Bo Bo collection, inspired by pandas, aligns with Qeelin's commitment to address the severe damage to wild pandas' living environment. Through this collaboration, Qeelin strives to restore bamboo forests, improve habitats, and implement effective management and protection measures.
